Rosie Fortescue, Georgia May Jagger, Tracey Cox, Gaby Roslin, Kym Marsh and Stephen Fry have tweeted their support for Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust's #SmearforSmear campaign, which highlights the importance of smear tests to combat cervical cancer.

The initiative urges women to smear lipstick on to their faces, take a selfie and share it on social media with the hashtag #SmearforSmear, and are also encouraged to nominate others to do the same. The charity reports that cervical screening saves 5000 lives a year, yet one in five women who are eligible to attend do not take up their invitation.
